On January 13, 2024, Medicine Hat Concert Band Society founder and friend Bill Wahl passed away unexpectedly with his family in Edmonton. To commemorate his legacy, the family has asked the MHCBS to accept donations in his name with the funds raised going towards commissioning a piece of music in Bill's honour.
